Here's to a great day filled with Gracie antics.

With an almost two-year old on my hands, who happens to be quite a handful at times, I have nearly perfected the art of showering quickly. I always put the baby gate up to my bedroom, with the door left ajar, to prevent Gracie from getting into my mascara and drawing all over her face, mouth, inside her mouth (well, you get the idea). I also leave the door to the bathroom open so I can hear any screaming or wailing in case of an emergency, and not only that, I do my best to be in and out in a few minutes to prevent any further damage to herself or our property.

Well, this morning I guess I got a little carried away. I spent ten minutes away rather than three and upon turning the water off i hear, "Mommy, Gracie spilled chocolate on the floor." Not really unusual. We must have forgotten to lock the pantry and she spilled the chocolate chips on the floor in the kitchen.

I quickly throw on a robe and race out to the kitchen... nothing. "Charlie, where is the chocolate?"

I walk into the front room to find Gracie sitting in and completely covered by a puddle, yes PUDDLE, of chocolate syrup. And yes, our front room is carpeted, the only carpeted room in the house besides the back bedrooms. Ahhhhh!!!!! Well, at least she has a pile of baby wipes, also covered in chocolate syrup, and is doing her best to clean/ smear herself.

Also, just a side note...I forgot to put the baby gate up to keep her out of my room and i just found her, in the midst of my blogging, in my bathroom with the sink full of water and my curling iron buried in it. Oh yes, and three headbands and low and behold, my mascara. Thankfully the curling iron was not plugged in.

Gracie, I love you to pieces and I look forward to many more exciting days ahead.
